GARRETT FREEDOM II METAL DETECTOR FOR PARTS ONLY. I'm not sure how old this detector is, I would guess mid 1980's, was in storage for years. When I first turned it on, it seemed to detect targets and eliminate trash OK, however when I removed the batteries, one of the wires broke and the detector is now not working. I believe the broken wire is the only problem, however because is presently not working, its offered here as not - working for parts only. I think the wire is a simple sold...er job, but as I an not electronically inclined, I dare not try to fix it, don't want to make the problem worst. SEE PICTURE OF BROKEN WIRE. I did not see other electronic problems, but as I don't know about these things I cannot be 100% sure all else is OK. I did noticed that one of the coil ears connecting the lower shaft to the coil is damaged. Again, please look at the pictures carefully.NOT WORKING - FOR PARTS ONLY.
