Vintage Collector Hess and Hopkins Saddlery Used Ranch 14" Western Saddle Regular Quarter Horse Bar This is a used 14" Hess and Hopkins of Rockford, IL. Western Saddle. This saddle is used and does show some wear, the original sheepskin underside is missing some hair and the saddle strings, stirrups, and lariat carrier look to be original. The had tooling is just beautiful, all around the edges of the double round skirts and the fenders, really nice... pattern. This saddle has been lightly cleaned and conditioned, and this saddle can still be used or make this lovely saddle the talking piece of that western decorated home. Hess and Hopkins saddlery were in business from 1877 to 1960. This style is from 1920's to the 40's, and was used on a Florida Cattle ranch.
