Original Description:
Original stock certificate for one share of stock in the Tennessee Centennial Exposition dated June 1, 1896.  This event was held in Nashville and was officially opened on May 1, 1897 by President William McKinley and closed on October 31. The site is now Centennial Park.    Very attractive, with vignette portraits of John Sevier, Andrew Jackson, Andrew Johnson and James K. Polk. Also, a recreation of the Parthenon, which still stands today.  Comes with an original ...2" x 4 1/2" ticket to the event.    Certificate size about 8" x 12 1/2".  Very nice condition.
