This is a vintage metal barrel that was used by MONROE Shock Absorbers to demonstrate the difference in their shocks to worn shocks. One of each was mounted onto the lid of the barrel with a hand lever so a potential customer could feel the difference. The lid is included but the shocks are missing, but what is left behind is a sweet trash barrel for some ones garage or man-cave. Oil company barrels are easier to come across, but not this one. This can did have a lot of surface rust on... one side towards the bottom, that I sanded off, primed, and re-painted to improve its appearance. The paint coloring isn't perfect, but makes for a nice 20-footer. In fact, there was one on Ebay last month for sale in much more distressed condition that they were looking to get just under $400 for! This can measures 29" high and 19" in diameter.
