Nice Fine or Better For your World Currency Collection-PCU1480 Details ... Description: A nice fine or better banknote from Peru. This is the June 30 1879 two soles note issued by the Republic of Peru. The note which is fairly soiled and having some minor stains is black in color over green and brown underprint. The note depicts the images of a woman at a fountain in the center of the front and steam passenger trains at left and right of the front. The note also has "II" (the number 2 in roman numerals) on both the front and the back. and the number "2" and the word Dos all over the front and back. The back is colored in red-orange and showing the denomination within elaborate geometric designs. The front displays two signatures, the denomination and the serial number. This particular banknote has the serial number C892384. The banknote has no watermark that we could find. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

The note may have been flattened, but still shows several vertical folds, horizontal fold, and general wrinkling. It shows considerable soiling with minor staining. The note has no tears or splits, but has general roughness along the edges (note bump near bottom left corner). The note has no graffiti and no pinholes that we could see. The note retains quite a bit of the coloring. The corners of the note are intact with minimum rounding, folds, and creases. Just a beautiful scarce note worthy of a spot in your collection.
