Up for your consideration is this Japanese Wakizashi. I am not an expert but it appears to be from the Edo period. The blade measures 18" from the tip and to the beginning ot the tang which is inscribed. The plade is slightly pitted in some areas and has some nicks along the edge which remains sharp. I can't quite make out what the ornaments are on the handle. As you can see the Tsuba is made of iron with brass inlays and a copper ring along the edge. The sleeve and pommel are decorat...ed with bamboo leaves. The copper and brass fittings on the sword are a bit tarnished, but would certainly brighten up if cleaned. The sword also comes with the rawhide sageo.Please feel free to ask questions. I will combine multiple lots. My shipping charges are determined by the Post Office based on package weight.
