Up for auction is a watch from my father's personal watch collection that he has acquired over the last 60+ years, he is a retired, certified master watchmaker graduating from Bowman Technical School in Lancaster, PA in 1962, he has done all the restoration work on the watches in his collection and has marked the inside of the back for reference as to what was done to the watch and the specifics of that particular watch. 18K Gold Electroplate Bezel, Stainless steel backThe back of the case reads - Stainless Steel Back, 18K Gold Electroplate BezelThe dial reads - GIRARD-PERREGAUX, Gyromatic, Swiss. Large raised gold colored dial markers with gold straight hands with black down the middle.Case measures approximately 34mm wide x 39mm long and 11.7mm thick, measures approximately 9" long from buckle to tip.
This watch was restored in 2006 to as close to original as possible. The crown is new as well as the crystal.Watchmaker mark - B3704The dial, hands and markers are all original and are in mint condition.This watch comes on a new old stock, vintage genuine leather, Honey brown, Speidel West Germany Band.The case has been polished and does show some wear on the back and side edges where the plating has chipped off or wore off it is visible in the pictures, overall the case is still in very good condition.
After restoration of this watch it was stored in his personal collection and taken out periodically to wind and lubricate if needed. Has not been worn since restoration.
There is no major damage to this watch at all, it is in very good condition. This watch is an automatic and will run by your movement while wearing it, it also can be wound up, runs strong and keeps good time and has done so for many years and will come to you in the same condition.
