This DUET MUSIC STAND was bought by my parents in 1968 from an antique dealer in New York City. It stood silent with just a sheet of classical music until the present. Personally. I know very little about an antique or a vintage piece of furniture.
The parts as pictured are described to me as mahogany wood even the duet music holder is made of a thinner cut of mahogany.The base suggests Queen Anne style.
The music holder LIPs on each side are 2 " wide x 18 " in length..., and are held in place with two very small screw.
IMPORTANT: The music duet holder only can be used in the first position. The height as shown in pictures.The mahogany screw-knob does not hold in the upper positions of the music holder.
