This Large German World War I Medal shows a High-Relief Bust of Kaiser Wilhelm I, and a chilling Reverse Legend that states "Wir Werden Diesen Kampf Bestehen Auch Gegen Eine Welt Von Feinden" which translates roughly as "We will Fight this battle Against a World of Enemies." Medal measures approx 60.4MM, Zinc. Quite striking in its simplicity of design, this medal seems to be quite scarce, as it is the only example I've encountered through decades of collecting. ...Some spotting is present, but overall an excellent state of preservation for a 105 year-old Zinc medal.
