A Lovely And Unusual Vintage 14ct & 10ct Gold, Claw And Tiger ' S - Eye Ball Brooch

On offer is a beautiful, but unusual gold brooch, unusual in that it has suspended from it a claw and ball pendant, and this is the first one like it that I have come across.
The pin does have a very rubbed set of marks that are impossible to read, but the brooch has been tested and consistently tests as being 14ct gold, the claw tests as being 10ct gold. Without a full set of UK hallmarks it is impossible to date this piece, but I would say from the style and the Trombone Clasp tha...t the piece is European and dates from around the 1940s.
It measures approximately 45mm across and has a drop of approximately 35mm. In total it weighs just a tad under 9gms.
The brooch and claw are in beautiful overall condition, and the tiger's eye ball (which rotates freely) is free of any damage. Through a loup you can see small scratches to the edge of the brooch, and this is probably where it will have been scratched in order to test it for being gold.
