VINTAGE APOLLO CO1O3 SOYUZ TEST-PROJECTCOMMEMORATIVE MEDAL COIN
**Seems to be a unique version of the Apollo-Soyuz medals, as not finding one with this same Spaceship flying over a larger view of a circular planet earth.
Very Nice Condition forits age.Measures approximately 11/2"

The "token" commemorates theApollo Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) flight flown in 1975, and the Americanand Soviet crew members, Americans: Deke Slayton, Vance... Brand and ThomasP. Stafford. Russians: Alexei Leonov, Valeri Kubasov.Both sides depict thepatches worn by the American and USSR crews, hence the Russianwriting.
The inscription on one side has the astronaut names: Leonov, Kubasov, and the space station, with the American names of Stafford, Slayton and Brand. Under that is the upper portion of the circular planetEarth, and “Apollo Soyuz Test Project”.
The front of the coin has a icon design of the space station (Skylab ?) and namesof APOLLO, and C O 1-O 3.
This medallion might contain material from Apollo The coin is in a unused condition. A great display item and conversation piece!
