Up for auction is a fine c1800 Georgian period carved mahogany inlaid tea caddy box with jade elephant finial. The caddy has a nice period design with interesting jade elephant finial top. The tea caddy measures 10 inches long, by 5 3/4 inches wide, and 6 inches tall with finial. The jade elephant measures 2 inches long, by 1 1/4 inches tall. The tea caddy shows some minor losses and wear consistent with its early age and is missing the interior boxes. The tea caddy is overall in substantially intact estate-fresh condition as seen. The jade finial is in fine condition with no damage.
