Guaranteed to be original and as described - - Antique 19th Century American redware pottery ovoid form jar with a dark olive green color glaze. The jar is circa the 1830's-1840's and is a superb example due to the fantastic dark olive green color glaze. There is no lid was lost a long time ago....SIZE: 9 1/4 inches high by 6 1/2 inches across the middle..CONDITION: The condition is very good for its age. There are no cracks or repairs. ...There is some wear around the top rim. There is a chip on the top rim as shown anda few tiny nicks on the rim. There is a dime size shape flaw on the side and a glaze firing flaw.. all to be expected from this ware. There is age crazing and scratches which is to be expected from age. This is a fantastic example of 19th century American Redware pottery....(SEE PHOTO'S).... ALL items that are sold as is as this is a auction.
