AUSTRALIA 5 Dollars 2009 'Aurora Australis'
This is the final coin of three special coins released for the International polar year.
The Royal Australian mint has released the Aurora Australis Hologram coin showing a silhouette of a sailing ship. The colour of the hologram changes to represent this celestial phenomenon of the Aurora Australis.
The fine silver proof coin also features the holographic images of the Three Explorers, Skua and the Aurora.
