Original Description:
Civil War era hard rubber button with the Goodyear patent mark of 1949-51.  The most desirable backmark for these Goodyear buttons is the "49er" and the most difficult to find! 

Condition: Good to very good.  Front has a rusty looking patch as seen in photo.  Some of it has come off, but I didn't spend time to brush at it with a toothbrush.  It may all come off. 

A nice little piece of history.  Thanks for stopping.  I ship 5 days... a week.
