Original Description:
A very finely carved wood inro or kobako (small box for coins or meds) with the carved ojime of Samurai warrior.  Not sure what this face is but possibly a temple guardian.   There is the old small break on the backside as pictured - really does not detract from this fine antique piece.   Has a nice rich patina and guaranteed Meiji period or earlier.
