U. S. 1901 S BARBER HALF DOLLAR RARE - DATE NGC CERTIFIED F 15
Item History & Price
U.S. 1901 S Barber Half
If you know your Barbers, then you also know the near impossibility of finding a nicely-toned mid-grade 1901 S, with flawless rims and problem-free surfaces. Most of these were badly abused during the Great Depression, with weird rim dings and scratches, if nothing else, and often cleaned. But look closely. This one is virtually perfect. NGC Certified F 15.
Issued at San Francisco during the McKinley/Roosevelt administration. It was on Sept. 6th of 19...01 that William McKinley was assassinated at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, NY, at which point Teddy Roosevelt became president.
All photos taken using natural Arizona sunlight and have not been enhanced in any way. From a 50-year collection - my own.
Tracked Mail Shipping is $4 within the United States.
