LARGE~Vintage Paolo Soleri Arcosanti Cast Bronze Wind Chime Bell~All Original. Condition is Used....but, MINT! This is a LARGE 5 1/2" h x 5" w at bottom of the bell in perfect, original condition(w/ weathered patina-I took it in every Wisconsin winter however). The sail/fin is 5"h x 5 1/2 "w. The chain is 13" long doubled to 6" where it meets the "joints" and each of those 3 measure 3 1/8" long. It has a wonderful sound and rings easily and loudly. This artist worked in Arizona with Fr...ank Lloyd Wright and the reason I originally bought the bell. Shipped in a Medium Flat Rate Box. Time to pass my treasure along for someone else to enjoy.
Born in Turin, Italy on June 21, 1919, Paolo Soleri was awarded his Ph.D. with highest honors in architecture from the Torino Polytechnico in 1946. He came to the United States in 1947 and spent a year-and-a-half in fellowship with Frank Lloyd Wright at Taliesin West in Arizona and here in Wisconsin.
