RARE c.1863 United States pair of 5 Cents Fractional Currency Notes UsedPair of 5 cents currency notes, featuring Thomas Jefferson and George Washington. These notes could be redeemed for postage stamps or for a US bank note in the amount of five dollars or more, and were used at the start of the Civil War as people horded gold and silver coins. Both notes have some wear with fold marks and some toning. Condition as per photos....
