Vintage Andres Bumatay Tiki Mug by Johnson Products (JP Co)
Up for sale is this vintage tiki mug designed by Andres Bumatay. May apologies for any glare in the photos. This exotic mug has a pineapple or palm tree type texture, with a tiki figure in relief. It is approximately 7-1/2" inches tall, with an upper rim diameter of about 3-1/2", and a bottom diameter of about 2-1/2".
** There is a small indention near the rim, but there is glaze bake over it, so seems it would be a flaw... before the glaze was fired. See the photo by the pen for reference. (It adds character, right?) **
This vintage mug is marked beneath, "JP Co." This looks great, with no cracks or chips! There is a dark line around the top, just under the rim, but I have seen this on others and believe it is just part of the glaze... it is not a crack. Please review the photos, and feel free to ask any questions or for specific photos.
