Confederate Shenandoah, County of Page, Confederate Currency, $0.50(50 Cents), Issued August 1, 1861 at Luray, Virginia, SN1269. In God Used Condition, not easy to find in any condition.

This as in most Civil War Notes were cut uneven, whole sheets of notes were cut by hand with large shears by inexperienced people. During the war it was... done mostly by wives and children of Confederate Soldiers. Many notes were 'butchered' during cutting, quantity was more important than quality. Often due to the poor quality of paper used the notes have browned or darkened.
