THIS AUCTION FEATURES A VINTAGE HANDWOVEN NAVAJO RUG. IT IS FROM THE WIDE RUINS POST, SO ALL COLORS ARE FROM VEGETAL DYES WITH HOMESPUN WOOL. IT MEASURES APPROX 51 1/4" X 32 1/4". ALL FOUR TASSELS ARE INTACT-SEE PICTURES. THE RUG HAS NO ODORS, HOLES, DAMAGE, OR REPAIRS. IT HAS BEEN STORED AWAY FOR DECADES, UNUSED , OR EVEN LOOKED AT. IT WAS RECENTLY ACQUIRED FROM AN HEIR TO ITS ORIGINAL, ARIZONA NATIVE OWNER. THE DESIGN ELEMENTS ARE ARROWS AND BANDS OF RICH VEGETAL DYED HUE...S-BEIGE, MUSTARD, BLACK, ETC. IT REMAINS BORDERLESS, IN THE TRUE WIDE RUINS POST STYLE. BOTH SIDES HAVE BEEN PHOTOGRAPHED. A COUPLE OF SMALL SOIL MARKS CAN BE FOUND UPON CLOSE INSPECTION, WHICH CAN BE EASILY REMOVED.
