Original Description:
Up for your consideration today is a VTG/Antique Crazy Handmade Quilt/Top Feedsack 88" X 60" EUC! I purchased this and MANY more vintage quilts/tablecloths/linen's & tea towels and am starting to list them.  Please check out my other auctions for combined shipping!  This is hand sew, then a large piece of white material (cotton) was machine sewn on the back.  It is in EXCELLENT condition, NO rips, tears, holes or stains that I could find.  I ...consider my photos to be part of the description and recommend using the zoom feature or double clicking on photos to enlarge them for optimal viewing.  I have not washed this, I'll leave that to the new owner. I took pictures on my king size bed so you could get a better idea of the size, .  Dear Customer,

After receiving your vintage linens you may want to freshen them with a ‘nice bath’. Here are some tips for your ‘new’ linens. Each different textile requires different care.
Linens should be washed in warm water and gentle detergent with a final cold rinse.
Bleach may be used on whites to brighten.  Antique linens-use very sparingly & soak.
One tablespoon of bleach will sanitize a full wash load.
Soaking whites for an hour in detergent & a bit of bleach will help remove stains and then give a gentle wash. Repeated washing sometimes helps lighten stubborn stains with gentle agitation.
A 1/5 mix of Fibergard Javex mixed with water and dabbed with a Qtip on tiny spots sometimes helps.
Oxy Clean sometimes works wonders but do not use on thin or fine linens.
Be careful. Stain removers and rubbing will destroy your vintage linens. Antique fabrics such as lace should Not be washed. It will speed up deterioration. Soak, no agitation.
Rust specks: A very good rust remover is Whink, only available in the USA.
Embroidered and crocheted linens need extra gentle care. Launder on gentle cycle only or hand wash. Gentleness will maintain the delicate embroidery stitches. Iron by pressing or gently stretch the damp fabric for a smooth finish. Doilies; lay flat to dry. No softener.
Fabric softeners are not recommended. They decrease absorbency and make the fabric limp. No starch will be needed if no fabric softener is used.
Linen fragrant sprays are available in some stores to add a delicate fresh scent.
Remove linens promptly from the wash, and gently shake out to help minimize wrinkles before hanging or ironing. No time to iron? Fold them and put them in a plastic bag and store in the refrigerator for a short time. Don’t forget them or mold will appear.
Iron when damp to get a good crisp pressing. A dryer sets wrinkles and makes it more difficult to get them out. Gently press the damp fabric as you iron. Avoid pulling linen fabric. Crocheted Lace can be gently stretched and shaped with a dry iron.
Embroidery can be ironed on the reverse and with a soft cloth on the ironing board so the embroidery does not get flattened. For delicate items use a ‘pressing’ cloth on top to prevent any burning. A linen tea towel is perfect.
Do not starch if you intend to store your linens. Moths love starch!
When storing linens for a long period of time occasionally refold them different ways as not to break down the fibers on the folds or roll them around a hollow cardboard cylinder.
Store linens away from direct sunlight and in a high and dry location......................THE FINE PRINT…………. Please only bid if you are certain that you intend to complete the transaction. All vintage items will likely show some signs of their natural age and will not appear brand new unless specifically stated as such in the listing. As winning bidder you need to respond within 3 days to Ebay notification of your winning bid.
I do combine shipping on multiple purchases (when possible) and local pick-up is always welcomed! I add insurance on any pkg that I feel is breakable enough to warrant the extra cost. Priority Mail takes approx 3-5 Bus days and Parcel Post can take up to 15 days, so please remember this when you SELECT your shipping choice & pay your invoice!
