This doll is made from corn husks, and wears the traditional Seneca outfit -- Shirt, pants with beadwork and trim, and a velvet "apron" in front and back. Across his shoulder is a leather beaded sash. The doll has drawn facial features framed by black fabric cut into strips to resemble hair. A headband encircles his head. On his feet are sweet little moccasins with beadwork on the top. He stands at 9 " H. A wonderful example of the older Seneca corn husk dolls -- rich... cultural history and artistry.
