Original Description:
Emerson & SilverModel 1840, Non-Commissioned Officers sword with scabbard (nickel plated). Ricasso is stamped EMERSON & SILVER, TRENTON, N.J.On reverse is US, DFM, 1863. Scabbard retains its strongly secured brass throat with a hook attachmentfor the frog. Brass drag bears the government inspector’s mark of DFM. Altogether, in very nice condition.
