1960s LeCoultre & Cie Atmos Square Dial Shelf Clock 528 - 6 Chevrolet Prize Award

Take a look at this vintage LeCoultre & Cie “Atmos”shelf clock that I recently found in a local estate. It is a 15 jewel model 528-6. I looked on the internet on how to operatethe clock, but I really don’t know what I’m doing so I decided to leave wellenough alone and leave that to the new owner. I did move the lever over so the revolving weight was freed up, moved it¾ clockwise so it could turn back and forth, and it did – for quite a longtime; however,... the hands never moved so I don’t know if I just didn’t dosomething right or if it needs some adjustment or repairs. So, I pushed the lever back over to the rightto lock the weight back in place (per the “Warning” label on the top of the cabinet) and will sell the clock “asis, non-working, for repair or parts” only. Also, you will see the brass discs in the front of thebase. Those discs were included with theclock and are just held in from the back with little rubber nubs. You will also see the engraved nameplate inone photo, which appears was mounted on the front when the clock was given awayas a prize or award in 1960; however one of the screws is broken off so Iassume the plaque came off or was removed and the decorator discs put in theholes instead. The plaque says“Cheviland ‘Big Leaguer’ Winner Kansas City Zone – 1960”, so I’m guessing itwas given to a top Chevrolet Chevy car dealer or salesman in 1960. All of the glass is in nice condition with nocracks. So, to cover some of these every-increasing costs, and as eBay allows in its rules, I must now include an additional 50-cents "handling charge" on most sales to defray my expenses. On sales to Kansas residents I will have to collect applicable sales tax.
