There are plenty of road signs out there, but none have the character of an old rural country road speed sign. Who even knew the 40 mph was a real limit anymore? I thought they all ended in 5s? The cracks on this sign are absolutely beautiful, which is what drew me to them ... and NO, it is not a recreation or reproduction. This is an ALL WOOD heavy road sign, measuring 30" x 24" and weighing in at almost 9 lbs. Folks 'round these parts say that these were... good to build exterior walls with because the treated heavy duty wood stands up to the elements. Whatever you want to do with it - hang it on your barn or your Brooklyn brick wall - I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the character of this unique antique piece. It reflects white and is yellowish from an angle.
