Vintage Silver Butterfly Wing Ballerina Brooch..Possibly By Thomas L. Mott.. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class large letter.Pretty little butterfly wing brooch featuring a ballerina ‘on point.’She stands on one pointed toe whilst her voluminous skirts fan out all around her. An elegant pose, using the butterfly wing to full advantage as it forms the silk-like fabric of her costume. Set into solid silver frame with rope-style trim. On the reverse is a simple bar-pin under which p...arts of the words ‘ England, ’ Sterling’ and ‘Silver’ can just be made out. There are also the last few digits of a number..... too indistinct for me to see!The brooch measures 1 inch in width by just over an inch in ‘ length.’Excellent condition for a vintage piece...possibility that it was made by Thomas L. Mitt and could date back to the early years of last century.
