This is a Chinese cloisonne brush washer decorated with enamels on copper in the Ming style featuring twin 5-clawed dragons chasing the Flaming Pearl of Wisdom on the eterior and a 5-clawed dragon and flaming pearl to the interior. A ruyi head border to the rim and wave pattern border to the foot rim. On black cloud gold wire ground.The base in pale blue with cloud pattern.With antique carved wooden stand.Daoguang period 1821-1850.Height of brush washer 1.75 ins (4.5 cms).
