The edges are shown on a bright white bedspread underneath that emphasizes the difference.The hand piecing ...is extremely light stitching. I can't imagine anyone sewing this small. See pictures 8 and 10.There are some loose threads that show on the solid areas. These are threads that came loose when it was washed.
