Shakespeare Wonderod No. 923 Ultralight Glass Fly RodHere is a quality Shakespeare Wonderod No. 923 6 1/2 ft., 2 piece fiberglass fly rod with clear markings and intact Wonderod banner. Blank is clean. The fancy maroon with black spiral tipping wraps are tight and intact. Cork grip is smooth. Butt cap and anodized aluminum ferrules show some wear but ferrules fit together snugly. Shakespeare code EFJ means the rod was built in February of 1965. &nbs...p;According to my 1965 Shakespeare catalog (see last photo), the model 923 is an "ultralight panfish or trout rod for small stream fishing." Rated for HDH lines, will cast a 5 or 6 weight line smoothly. Comes with a replacement partitioned nylon bag and original Shakespeare ribbed plastic tube, with rubber friction fit Wonderod caps.
