A vintage 1930's 40's, mid-century, modernist Mexican Sterling Silver and operculum HANDMADE bird brooch. Signed "Mexico" and "Silver". Signed "Silver" for metal content, it is guaranteed 925 parts per 1000 sterling silver. The piece measures 38mm top to bottom (1 1/2") and 54mm side to side (2 1/8"). It weighs 17.7 grams on our electronic scale. Used vintage condition, the pinback stills works but is no longer perfect and we have not cleaned or polished this since we bought it. A won...derful piece for any retro/vintage collector.
