This Is a Rare & Highly Collectable WW1 US American Expeditionary Force (AEF) Silver Mizpah Sweetheart Badge / Brooch Dating From Around 1917/18.It Is Made From Silver (stamped silver on reverse) And In the Shape Of a Double Heart Depicting United Love. On The Left Hand Side Is Engraved a Prayer "The Lord Watch Between Me & Thee When We Are Absent One From Another". On The Right Hand Side Is Engraved The US Army Insignia Plus "US AEF".During WW1 Servicemen Would Give Mizpah / Sweethea...rt Badges / Brooches To Sweethearts / Family etc.It Is In Very Good Used Condition With Only Minor Aged Wear & No Obvious Signs Of Damage. It Has Retained Its Original Pin & Clasp....See Photographs.It Measures Approx. 35mm (1 3/8") x 20mm (3/4") & Weighs Approx. 4.97 Grams (0.175 oz).
