Auctions for a lot of 2 older Abu Garcia bait casting reels being sold as a parts lot. Let me explain 1st Ambassadeur 5500-C3 2 speed reel seems to work well BUT the handle can be turned backwards? Don’t know if it’s a normal feature otherwise it operates nice with smooth drag and nice level wind. It freespools effortlessly. Note there’s a small wear pattern on the rear plate at 1 o’clock position possibly from palming. Second reels a model 1500C Ambassadeur In well used condit...ion but level wind is decent as well as freespool and drag. Aside it’ll need a good greasing as the bearing sound a bit noisy not to mention the wear as seen. Please if any additional photos or questions please ask. Both reels are made in Sweden.
