Original Description:
Vietnam War era US M-16 rifle "rubber duck" training dummy. Marked on stock "TASO-FG" and "D-9-1109", and "DVC-T7-83 on opposite side. Marked "Property of US Government" Considering what these trainers went thru, this one is in very good condition.
The military calls these rifles Rubber Ducks. This is an actual military issue trainer designed to be the correct weight and size of an M16. They are made from decommissioned M16 parts combined with cast hard rubber.
The flash ga...urd is a 3 prong type, which dates the trainer earlier than most you can find. The flash gaurds were eventually changed due to the 3 prongs hanging up on stuff.
Great addition to any collection.
