This a RARE, first of it's kind, 1937 ACL bottle for Barq's Root Beer from Jackson, Mississippi.It is a must have for any serious Barq's, or Mississippi bottle collector.Applied Color Label Technology became available to bottlers for the first time around 1936.ACL technology revolutionized the way bottler's advertised on glass Soda Bottles.Prior to this technology, bottler's either applied paper labels or embossed the glass.Up for auction is one of the first ACL bottles put out by Barq...'s - I do not know of any 1936 Barq's ACL bottles out there.  (if you have one, I would love a picture of it).This is also one of the first Barq's bottles to use the words "Root Beer".  Barq's did not market their drink as "root beer" until the mid 1930's due to legal conflicts with Hires Root Beer who attempted to trademark those words for their product.  That is why you wont see those words on Barq's products prior to this time.This is a great "transition" bottle not only for Barq's, but for all soda bottlers.Please look at all pics and ask any questions before bidding.No International Shipping.
