AlHartig began making kites as a full-time business in 1975, when heand his wife moved from Manhattan to Nantucket. Hartig—knownpopularly as the Nantucket Kiteman—designed and patented a clothDelta kite that became his signature. This example is the larger oftwo models he made—The Valkyrie.Constructedof custom screen-printed green/blue/yellow cotton duck and wood-dowelspars. The kite has a 68” wingspan. All components are original. Aphotocopy of the original 4-page instruction ...booklet is included.CONDITIONis Excellent. Colors are bright and clean.
