Antique old wooden shafted 'The Loftem' brassie. Believe crown stamps states, "Hunt, Sandwood Howe G.C., The Loftem." These Loftem models had a very unique sole design with the heel and sole areas being cut away and this leaves a center ridge across the sole. Unique brass sole strips cover the high areas on the sole. Solid club with a C0 swingweight. Nice ram's horn slip remains intact. Leading edge with a few small play nicks. Overall club sho...ws a fair amount of play. Obviously a well liked and played club that was cared for and has lasted all these years in quite good shape. No cracks in head, neck, or shaft. Fair amount of wear to the original finish, but a fair amount also still remains. Shaft is stiff. Shaft remains straight and is almost certainly the original. This is a through shaft design with the shaft coming through to the sole. Total club length at 40 1/4 inches. Intact period leather wrap grip shows some surface scuffing.
