You are bidding on a RARE VINTAGE McCOY .40 "RED-HEAD" C/L STUNT MODEL AIRPLANE ENGINE, MADE IN U.S.A.BY THE TESTORS CORPORATION, CIRCA LATE-1960s! Engine may have been test-run, but remains in EXCELLENT, LIKE-NEW CONDITION overall! Crankshaft turns-over smoothly with VERY-GOOD COMPRESSION and good bearing fit. The cylinder fins are unscathed, nothing bent or chipped as well as the head fins and the red enamel finish shows little wear with maybe a couple tiny, barely-...noticeable chips near the mounting bolt openings. The beam mounting lugs are undamaged with original openings, nothing cracked or broken-out; the front openings are slotted, as it came from the factory. The Crankcase/fins/head shows a little dust from storage but no other issues. There does appear to be a small "hairline" crack at top of the square backplate but that's most-likely just a casting flaw and doesn't affect performance. Comes as shown with an aftermarket "TATONE" Bolt-On Aluminum Muffler that seems to be a good match for this Engine, weighs only 1.7 ounces and should not significantly restrict power output.
