Anglo Indian Affairs India QV Prepaid Cover 1875 Paumadi – Madras ½a Blue - V Scarce PM FUPostal stationary type EN9 (Postal Stationary British India 1856-1947 Neurgaonkar 2nd Ed. 2009) embossed Lion & Palm motif first used 1875 (therefore very early usage of this type) with scarce (very scarce or rare on cover!) triangular PN type 29 (JC-MN) subtype with internal dots in use smaller places Madras postal sub-region – Only a few of this PM type are recorded to PO’s... and unfortunately this D number is unclear (D-117)? – Notable double ringed Bellary district PM Paumadi is possibly Pamidi (tiny place just south of Gooty) sent 1st September 1875 – Via Gooty (Bellary District) 1st September – Via octagonal sorting Raichore (Raichoor Raichur near Hyderabad KA) 1st September – Arrived Madras 3rd September 1875
