Toy drum decorated with a chromolithograph depicting the storming of San Juan Hill, Cuba, by the 1st Volunteer U.S. Cavalry (Rough Riders) under Theodore Roosevelt, c. 1898. Tin shell with vellum drum heads, held together by wooden counter hoops. Size refers to diameter. Some foxing in the lithographed design, and age discoloration of drum heads; overall good, displayable condition.A lovely period item that must have been a young boy's prized Christmas present.
