Antique Style Primitive Black Folkart Doll is from my personal collection and has been stored in a smoke free environment.She is called “The Cotton Picker” and was made by a very talented local doll maker. Her work is fabulous and does a lot of handwork on her pieces. Made out of black painted and stained heavy cotton. She has stitched and sculpted facial features with antique button eyes. Shaped arms and separate fingers. The black doll holds old quilt cotton. &n...bsp;Her top and skirt is made out of antique patchwork quilt pieces. Her bloomers are made from old stained up cotton. Her black boots are painted on and laced with crochet cotton thread. The head scarf is grungy blue and white window pane check homespun cotton and tied off to the side. The black doll is wearing a skirt and blouse is made out of antique quilt pieces. The blouse is accented with antique shoe buttons and laces pieces. The Cotton Picher Primitive Black Doll can hang or sit and measures approximately 28”.
