Up for bid is a large 2 ft long by 1 foot high at its highest point green stone (maybe Jade) statue of 8 running horses. this item is much larger than most of the other statues on EBay and very heavy. Almost 21 pounds. It is not a solid piece as it has marks where the pieces have been fitted and glues together. It does have some damage, Last photo shows the last horse and that it appears to be missing its tail. I assume it had a tail as all the others did, and t...here is a area it looks to have been. See last photo that shows the tail area of the horse. I took several photos in different lighting. The first few are with a flash on the last few are in a natural light.
I have tried to do some research on this, but can't find one very simuilar. It has no markings on it to say when or where it was made.
This came from a storage unit my son was cleaning out and we know nothing about it. It might be jade, but I can not tell. The green is a marbalized in appearance and has some specks of other nutuaral colors in it like tan. Each horse is about 7-8" long on average. The base it all sits on is made of the same material. Please ask questions before bidding if you have them. This will cost a great deal to ship as it must be well packaged and it already weights a ton.
I can not guarantee what is made of as I am no expert, but due to the weight, color, and look my guess is jade or a simular stone.
