This is a Chelsea ship’s Bell 8.5” clock with a hinged bezel. The case is the sought after “Red Brass”. This clock runs (slowly) and probably would be good for a restoration or parts. Case and works serial numbers don’t match and although it is marked as a ship’s bell the works are a house strike. There are a few parts missing such as the face ring, bezel catch, screw missing on the hands. Screw missing on the works. Brass pins are used to hold the works to the face. With a...ll this going on the clock runs and strikes but needs TLC. See pictures for better description. Clock’s serial number on works is 20963 and on the case 108238 Placing the age between 1906 and 1916. Face measures 8.5” Clock Measures 10 1/2” X 3 5/8”. Comes with a generic brass key. Will ship FedEx ground, double boxed for safety.
