Reference books used. Chapman, Banchik Handbook and NF catalogue 2015.
Because of the notoriously poor quality of the paper used for this issue thins are ...often the rule rather than the exception. Therefore prices scarcely change if a stamp is thinned unless the thin is large and disfigures the stamp. In my opinion to attempt to put together a collection of Imperial Maximilians without any thins is a waste of time and effort.
However when present all meaningful thins are mentioned in the description.
The Follansbee Catalogue value is for "Sound and presentable" stamps.Most of the stamps I am offering are worth a premium being either fine, very fine or better.
