Based on the hallmarks (see photos), we know this was manufactured by Robert Pringle & Sons in Birmingham, England in 1902 (Edwardian era).
The cartouche area was monogrammed for GAB on June 6, 1909.
The case measures 7cm wide by 8.8 cm long by 1.5cm thick and weighs in at a hefty 78 grams (roughly 2.5 troy ounces). The hinge is snug and the ...clasp works perfectly. The elastic inside is no longer functional.
Some fine scratches (normal wear and tear) but there are no nicks or bent sections. There are a few remaining tarnished areas, but a jewelry cloth should take care of those nicely.
