This listing is for a working antique toy electric motor/dynamo, maker unknown.
The main barrel of the motor is cast iron while the end faces appear to be brass.
I'd estimate that it dates from around the 1910's to 1930's.
It's similar in design to the motors made in Germany by firms such as Märklin and Bing as well as Knapp in the US.
As well as being sold as a stand alone toy for introducing boys to electricity these were also often sold for us...e with live steam engines to act as a generator.
The only writing on it is a brass plaque which reads "2 - 4 Volt".
It functions well and is in good condition as can be seen in the photos.
The shaft is 100mm long, the motor body is 90mm long x 72mm high x 80mm wide at the feet.
It weighs approximately 580 grams.
Item will be carefully packaged and posted worldwide.
