Sony ICF 7600 Portable MW/FM/Shortwave 7 Band Transistor Radio. This is the original in what was to become a long series of ICF 7600 radios. This is the one that started it all.
The radio is in excellent condition with very little signs of use. Someone put the band selector switch in upside down. (See picture 8).That could have been at the factory and it slipped through QC or maybe someone else had the radio apart at some point and put it in wrong. I see no evidence of the radi...o ever having been taken apart. It has no affect on the operation of the radio at all and works just as well upside down as right side up. This is the only flaw I can find on this radio.
This radio has 7 bands. 5 Shortwave and then MW (AM) and FM.It has no Single Side Band capabilities.FM reception is mono.
