1850s EARLY PONTILED HAND BLOWN GLASS BLOOD LETTING CUP PHLEBOTOMY MEDICAL

Here's an early pontiled hand blown glass bleeding or blood letting cup from the mid 1800s that was used to catch blood that was drawn in order to get rid of sickness & disease from "bad blood". This medical process was called phlebotomy and was a common practice in the early 1800s. This hand blown cut has a ground pontil scar on bottom which is ground flat to allow the cup to stand upright on its own.....clear....1 5/8"tall x 1 3/8"across rim....Excellent shiny mint co...ndition with no chips or damage. Nice and clean with no haze.
