Engraved Anton A Anderson June 30th 1954
Anton A Anderson was the chief engineer in the railroad dock in Whittier Alaska, the dock was build... in 1943 due to the military significance of Alaska during WW2. It appears the project was a joint project with both military and civilian federal employees working at the time! Anton worked with the army corp of engineers on the project, also the Anton Anderson Memorial tunnel is named after him it is the longest tunnel highway in the United states! He clearly was a very influence person in the Whittier Alaska region! Really a nice medal with a lot of history!
New York State Buyers ONLY - I will now be charging state sales tax, due to there being over 30 different tax districts in the state I have set a default rate, that rate is not accurate for all districts so if you are from NYS and intend on buying any of my items do not pay until I have invoiced you the correct sales tax charge! That being said the rate is set right now for New York City so if you are from NYC or any of the 5 Burroughs you can go ahead and buy it without waiting for an invoice! Thanks for your understanding!
